01About these terms

This website is operated by Atlas, an IT consultancy based at Level 2, 106 Customs Street West, Auckland Central, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date shown at the top of this page is when they were last reviewed, and the version published here is the one that applies.

02Using the site

You may read, browse, and print pages from this site for your own use, and share links to it freely. We would rather you did.

You may not:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaches anyone else’s rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system;
• interfere with the site’s operation, including by introducing malicious code or by placing an unreasonable load on it;
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content for commercial reuse, or to train a model, without our written permission; or
• misrepresent yourself, or use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages.

We may suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the site at any time, and we do not guarantee it will always be available or uninterrupted.

03Content on this site

The content here is general information about what we do. It is not advice, and it is not a substitute for advice about your particular situation. Several pages discuss legal and regulatory obligations, including privacy, security, and sector-specific requirements. Those descriptions are written carefully and in good faith, and they are still general. Do not act on them without taking advice that accounts for your own circumstances.

Where we describe a third party’s product, roadmap, or support position, we state it as we understood it at the time of writing and, where the point matters, we say where it came from. Vendors change their plans. Check with the vendor before you make a decision that depends on it.

Prices shown on this site are indicative, exclude GST unless stated otherwise, and are not an offer capable of acceptance. A price becomes binding only in a written quote or agreement from us.

04Intellectual property

The design, text, graphics, and arrangement of this site are owned by Atlas or used under licence, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. The Atlas name and logo are our trade marks.

You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Beyond that, you may not copy, reproduce, adapt, or republish any part of the site without our written permission.

Third-party names and marks appearing on this site, including the software and platforms we work with, belong to their respective owners. We use them to describe what we support. Their appearance here does not imply that we are endorsed by, affiliated with, or acting as an authorised reseller for that vendor unless we have said so explicitly.

05Enquiries you send us

When you send an enquiry through this site, we use it to respond to you. How we handle the personal information in it is set out in our privacy policy.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the enquiry form. It is ordinary email underneath, and email is not a secure channel. If you need to send us something sensitive, tell us and we will give you a secure way to do it.

An enquiry does not create a client relationship or any obligation on us to act. That begins when we both sign an engagement.

06Software downloads

This site offers remote support agent software for Windows and macOS. It is provided so that we can assist you, and it is intended for people who are already working with us or have asked us for help.

Installing it allows us to access your device remotely for support. Only install it if you intend that, if you have the authority to install software on that device, and if you are expecting us. If someone contacts you unexpectedly and asks you to install remote access software, that is a common scam. Stop, and call us on the number on this site to check.

The software is supplied by a third party under its own licence terms, and those terms govern your use of it.

07Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, including our booking system, our client portal, and vendor resources. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle your information. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you are on them.

08Liability

We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate and available, and we do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of anything harmful. You use it at your own risk.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, and loss of data.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.
